Mode of Action
- Stimulates phagocytosis (destruction
of disease organisms)
- Stimulates release of interleukin
(helps control the immune system) and causes increased mobility of the leukocytes (which attack disease
organisms)
- Stimulates release of interferon
Drug Interactions
- None known
Cautions
- Do not use if suffering from
autoimmune diseases
- May cause upset stomach at single
doses higher than 1000 mg
- Use with caution if you are allergic
to members of the daisy family (Asteraceae species)
- Becomes less effective if used for
over 4 weeks at a time
Recommended Dose
- 125-450 mg three times
a day. (Dose may vary from brand to brand)
