Mode of Action
- Contains valepotriates, and valerenic
acids which have sedative and anticonvulsant activity
- Helps maintain levels of GABA
(gamma-aminobutyric acid)
Drug Interactions
- May increase the effects of pentobarbital
- Do not use with sedatives,
hypnotics, anesthetics and central nervous system depressants
Cautions
- Do not take if already taking sleep-inducing
drugs
- May cause heartburn, upset
stomach, diarrhea and allergic reactions in large doses
- May cause drowsiness. Avoid
using heavy equipment or driving while using this product
Recommended Dose
- 400-800 mg at bedtime. (Dose may vary from brand to brand)
