Mode of Action
- Contains arbutin which
converts to hydroquinone,a urinary antiseptic and disinfectant which kills bacteria
in the bladder and urethra.
- Arbutin is diuretic (increases
urine production)
Drug Interactions
- No known drug interactions
Cautions
- Not suitable in cases of simultaneous
kidney infection
- Not for use in acute urinary
infection
- May cause upset stomach
- Prolonged use may lead to liver
damage
- Avoid in pregnancy and breast
feeding
- Limit intake of acidic foods (fruits)
Recommended Dose
- 2000-4000 mg three times a day. (Dose may vary from brand to brand)
